Research Assistant Professor in Social Neuroscience

The Academy of Wellness and Human Development offers MSc and PhD programmes, and is now seeking outstanding applicants for the Research Assistant Professor (RAP) positions.

Position Summary:
The positions are created and funded as part of the Matching Scheme for Appointment of Research Assistant Professors (RAPs). The appointees will be provided with brain imaging facilities (3T Prisma MRI scanner, EEG, fNIRS, TMS, eye-tracking) hosted at Life Science Imaging Center. The RAPs should work closely with the existing research teams led by Dr. Rongjun Yu (www.rongjunyu.org).  The RAPs are encouraged to apply for faculty positions at HKBU when openings are available.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a PhD degree in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, or a related field, and sufficiently demonstrate abilities to conduct high-quality research in one of the Academy’s key research areas: (i) Developmental neuroscience or Educational neuroscience; (ii) Social affective neuroscience; (iii) Decision Neuroscience/Neuroeconomics. A strong background in advanced fMRI techniques (such as RSA/MVPA) and graph theory is advantageous.

The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one to two years.  Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
