The Department of Psychology at The Ohio State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor or tenured Associate Professor or Professor position in decision psychology. We welcome applications from scholars who study human decision making (broadly construed), including but not limited to those who use theoretical, behavioral, computational, and/or neuroscientific methods to examine basic science and/or applied topics. The faculty member would also contribute to teaching undergraduate courses and training graduate students in decision psychology and another area related to their interests: behavioral or cognitive neuroscience, clinical, cognitive, developmental, IDD, quantitative, or social psychology.
The successful candidate will join a vibrant community at The Ohio State University that includes faculty in the Psychology Department and beyond, including the Decision Sciences Collaborative (DSC), the Center for Cognitive and Brain Sciences (CCBS), the Center for Cognitive and Behavioral Brain Imaging (CCBBI), and the Translational Data Analytics Institute (TDAI). We expect the candidate to be open to collaboration with faculty members across the department, the college (e.g., Communication, Economics, Political Science), and the university (e.g., the Fisher College of Business, the John Glenn College of Public Affairs, the School of Environment and Natural Resources), further enhancing the research environment of the university.
Education and Experience Requirements
Required: This appointment will begin Autumn 2024, and candidates must have earned a PhD in psychology or a related field prior to the start of employment. ABDs are welcome to apply. Candidates are expected to have a publication record commensurate with career stage and a fundable research program.
